Mo Abudu, CEO of EbonyLife, has officially debunked this misinformation, clarifying that the poster is not connected to Lola Shoneyin (the author) or EbonyLife (the producers).



Abudu addressed the excitement around the highly anticipated adaptation, acknowledging fans’ eagerness but emphasising that the real release details are yet to be announced. To prevent further confusion, the fake poster has been marked with a clear “FAKE” label.
