The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is set to expand once again with Captain America: Brave New World, the highly anticipated fourth instalment in the Captain America film series. Scheduled for release on February 14, 2025, this film continues the journey of Sam Wilson as he embraces his role as the new Captain America.

Nigerian audiences can catch Captain America: Brave New World in cinemas nationwide, thanks to Film One Studio, the official distributor of the movie in Nigeria. Film One Studio has consistently brought the biggest blockbuster hits to Nigerian screens, ensuring fans experience the latest Marvel adventure in top-quality theatres across the country.

Following the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021), Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) has officially taken on the mantle of Captain America. However, his role as the new leader of the Avengers is tested when he meets with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, played by the legendary Harrison Ford. Their meeting takes a shocking turn as Sam finds himself embroiled in an international crisis, one that threatens to destabilise global security. As tensions rise, Sam must uncover the sinister force orchestrating a worldwide conspiracy before the entire world descends into chaos.

Anthony Mackie has solidified his place as one of Hollywood’s most dynamic actors, particularly in the superhero genre. His journey with Marvel began as Sam Wilson, also known as Falcon, in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014). Over the years, he has brought depth and charisma to the role, making Sam Wilson a fan-favourite. Now, as the first Black Captain America, Mackie’s portrayal represents a new era of representation and heroism in the MCU, resonating with audiences worldwide.

Directed by Julius Onah (Luce), Brave New World boasts an impressive ensemble cast. Alongside Anthony Mackie, the film features Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Xosha Roquemore, Carl Lumbly, Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, Tim Blake Nelson, and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson. With such a diverse and talented lineup, the film promises to deliver thrilling action and intense drama.

The screenplay is penned by Rob Edwards, along with writing teams Malcolm Spellman & Dalan Musson and Onah & Peter Glanz. Given the previous success of Spellman and Musson with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, fans can expect a gripping storyline that blends espionage, political intrigue, and superhero action.

With Brave New World, the MCU is venturing into new territory, exploring the weight of responsibility that comes with the Captain America title. Sam Wilson’s leadership will be put to the test as he navigates a world filled with political deception and hidden threats. Will he be able to prevent a catastrophe and prove himself as a worthy successor to Steve Rogers? Fans will have to wait until February 2025 to find out.

Audiences in Nigeria can look forward to an exceptional theatrical experience, with Brave New World reaching cinemas through Film One Studio. With their expertise in bringing major blockbusters to audiences, this release is set to be an unforgettable spectacle. Marvel is gearing up for another hit, and Captain America: Brave New World is shaping up to be an exciting chapter in the MCU.
